POSITION AND PURPOSE


 

The Enterprise Communications Specialist II plays a key role in planning, creating, and delivering effective internal communications that support organizational priorities and employee engagement. This role is primarily aligned to supporting a range of Human Resources disciplines, including Benefits, Payroll, Time and Absence, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and Performance Management.

In this role, you'll translate complex people related topics into clear, employee centered communications, support change initiatives, and help ensure employees have timely, accurate information that builds understanding, trust, and engagement. You'll work independently on assignments, collaborate closely with subject matter experts, and contribute strategic insight to communications planning and execution.

You partner easily with leaders and teams, lead communications from planning through execution, and adapt content to fit the audience and channel. You’re organized, data informed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities with minimal oversight. You collaborate well, offer sound communications guidance, and are always looking for ways to improve clarity, engagement, and how work gets done.


THE WORK


 

Strategic communications support

  1. Partner with business units to understand objectives and recommend appropriate communications, messaging, methods, timing, and channels.
  2. Lead internal communications planning, multi-media campaigns, change initiatives, and operational communications from planning through execution.
  3. Adapt messaging and formats based on audience needs and channel best practices.
  4. Identify opportunities to improve clarity, engagement, or efficiency across communication channels and tactics.

 

Content development and delivery

  1. Write, edit, and manage a range of internal communications including emails, intranet content, social media posts, video scripts, announcements, presentations, and talking points.
  2. Translate complex, technical, or ambiguous information into clear, employee centered messaging.
  3. Ensure content aligns with brand, voice, tone, and style guidelines.
  4. Manage content calendars, deadlines, and approval workflows with minimal oversight.

 

Data, insights, and optimization

  1. Use engagement data and feedback to evaluate communication effectiveness.
  2. Contribute to reporting and analysis for internal communications channels.
  3. Recommend adjustments based on results and insights.

 

Collaboration and influence

  1. Build strong working relationships with internal partners and stakeholders.
  2. Provide consultation and guidance on internal communications best practices.
  3. Support and review content developed by junior team members, as appropriate.
  4. Contribute ideas that improve processes, tools, or ways of working.

QUALIFICATIONS


 


EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university with a preferred focus in English, marketing, communications or equivalent combination of education and professional experience required


EXPERIENCE:

8+ years of communications experience, preferably in a financial services company required

3+ years Supporting Human Resources communications, including HR programs, initiatives, and business processes required


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, and creative individual who demonstrates initiative.

Excellent writing and communications skills with an ability to integrate strategic messages and target an audience appropriately.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PPT, SharePoint, etc.) required.

Graphic design skills a plus.

Ability to partner with people across all teams and levels in a professional and friendly manner.

Ability to work with remote teams to foster a cohesive and creative work environment.

Demonstrated attention to detail with sound analytical skills.

Ability to manage time and prioritize competing priorities.

Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


LICENSES AND CERITIFCATIONS:

A valid California Driver’s License is required

WORKING CONDITIONS


 

Work time includes weekend and after-hours time, based on organizational needs. This position works in-office where working conditions, lighting, temperature, audio, and workspace are all sufficient.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


 

Work requires the ability to constantly operate a computer and the ability to read, type, and communicate. Work may require the ability to move work-related supplies weighing up to 10-15 pounds.
