POSITION AND PURPOSE


 

Responsible for ensuring a timely and efficient response to all security concerns in support of the Golden 1 security mission of protecting persons and safeguarding assets and information.

WHO YOU ARE


 

The Corporate Physical Security department is an industry leading security function that specializes in: Access control management, surveillance and integration, executive protection and hazard vulnerability assessments.


THE WORK


 

Work alongside contracted guard service to ensure timely and efficient response to all security concerns including protecting persons and safeguarding assets and information. Ensure all issues are reported to the relieving Corporate Security Specialist and follow up on critical incidents by emailing the Corporate Physical Security Manager.

 

Monitor lobby traffic ensuring all people entering the building have proper authorization, i.e. Golden1 ID Badges or temporary badges.

 

Conduct weekly surveillance and alarm checks throughout the Golden1 facilities portfolio

 

Perform searches of baggage, purses, totes, and other containers carried by individuals entering/exiting the premises in accordance with policy and procedures. Ensure that visitor, employee and vendor processing and search for confidential and privileged information is conducted with the highest standard of care and professionalism.

 

Incident response to burglary/ robbery incidents at Branches or ATMs after hours.

 

Perform security walkthroughs of departments to ensure information assets are properly secured in accordance with the guidelines and procedures set.

 

Communicate and coordinate alarm monitoring with contractor monitoring service and dispatching law enforcement accordingly.

 

Create and maintain reporting log to keep the Corporate Physical Security Manager updated on all trends and activities on night shift.

 

Monitor cameras and access control systems to look for suspicious activities. Report issues with the systems to Corporate Physical Security in a timely manner.

 

QUALIFICATIONS


 


EDUCATION:

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

College courses or equivalent continuing education accepted


EXPERIENCE:

2+ years of Physical Security, Security Guard, Event Security or Security Dispatch experience required

Financial Institution operations, policies and procedures is preferred


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Strong oral and written communication skills. Computer and related surveillance software experience, and interpersonal skills.

Enthusiasm and interest in security,  and related services; strong sense of ethics and professionalism; communicate effectively in providing security guidance and expertise to other staff and the ability to prepare clear and concise written documents. Strong oral and written communication skills; strong organizational and time management skills.


LICENSES AND CERITIFCATIONS:

Guard Card or equivalent licenses/certifications, including one of the following: Associate Protection Professional (APP), FEMA Incident Command Course 100.a, or CPR/First Aid required

Visitors, guard staff, vendors, suppliers, members, local law enforcement and government agencies.


WORKING CONDITIONS


 

Work time includes weekend and after-hours time, based on organizational needs. This position works in-office where working conditions, lighting, temperature, audio, and workspace are all sufficient.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


 

Work requires the ability to constantly operate a computer and the ability to read, type, and communicate. Work may require the ability to move work-related supplies weighing up to 10-15 pounds.
