POSITION AND PURPOSE


 

The Treasury Management Operations Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the Treasury Management implementation, onboarding and tier 2 support team, ensuring the successful implementation, servicing, and ongoing support of Treasury Management products and services for business members. The role is responsible for supervising staff who perform treasury implementations, member onboarding, system administration, product support, and operational servicing of treasury solutions including ACH Origination, Wire Origination, Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, and Business Online Banking.

 

This position serves as the primary escalation point for complex Treasury Management service and operational issues, ensuring prompt resolution while maintaining service quality, regulatory compliance, and risk controls. The supervisor provides leadership, coaching, and development for Treasury Management Specialists and acts as a partner to Business Services, Commercial Lending, Operations, Fraud Prevention, Compliance, and Technology teams to deliver exceptional business member experience.

 

The Treasury Management Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all treasury onboarding activities, service requests, annual reviews, operational controls, and support functions are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established service level agreements. The position also leads continuous improvement efforts, supports system enhancements and implementations, and serves as a subject matter expert for Treasury Management products, services, and Business Online Banking platforms.

WHO YOU ARE


 

You provide leadership and oversight for Treasury Management onboarding, implementation, and Tier 2 support functions, ensuring business members receive accurate, timely, and professional service across the full suite of Treasury Management products and services. You ensure internal partners and business members receive effective guidance, support, and issue resolution while maintaining operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a high-quality member experience.

 

You are a knowledgeable and service-focused leader who applies technical expertise, sound judgment, and risk-based decision making to oversee implementations, resolve complex escalations, manage operational controls, and support the successful delivery of ACH Origination, Wire Origination, Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Business Online Banking, and related Treasury Management services.

 

You collaborate across business lines and functional areas to drive operational efficiency, manage risk, support strategic initiatives, and ensure consistent execution of Treasury Management processes. You lead employee development through coaching and cross-training, monitor key performance and risk indicators, and maintain expertise in regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and emerging risks impacting Treasury Management and money movement activities.

 


THE WORK


 

Develop and maintain an understanding of the pertinent regulatory requirements and risks inherent to job responsibilities, establish, and maintain control activities that mitigate those risks consistent with the Credit Union’s risk appetite, and ensure operational integrity and compliance with applicable regulations.

 

Lead, coach, train, and develop Treasury Management Specialists responsible for onboarding, implementation, maintenance, and tier 2 support of Treasury Management products and services. Foster a high-performance culture focused on service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

Lead cross-training initiatives across the Treasury Management team to ensure operational resiliency, succession readiness, workload balancing, and adequate coverage for all critical Treasury Management functions.

 

Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process for Treasury Management business members, including implementation, configuration, testing, training, and activation of products and services. Ensure a seamless member experience from onboarding through ongoing support.

 

Manage and oversee the tier 2 support function for Treasury Management services, ensuring timely resolution of escalated member, operational, technical, and service-related issues.

 

Serve as the department escalation point and subject matter expert for ACH Origination, Wire Origination, Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Business Online Banking, fraud prevention solutions, and related Treasury Management services.

 

Own the operational risks associated with Treasury Management products and services by establishing, maintaining, and enhancing controls to mitigate fraud, operational, compliance, and reputational risk consistent with the Credit Union's risk appetite.

 

Maintain expert knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry guidance governing Treasury Management and money movement activities, including NACHA Operating Rules, Regulation E, UCC requirements, OFAC requirements, BSA/AML regulations, fraud prevention practices, and other regulatory requirements impacting electronic payments. Ensure departmental compliance through ongoing education, monitoring, and procedural updates.

 

Establish, monitor, analyze, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) related to Treasury Management onboarding, support, service quality, operational effectiveness, risk management, and member experience. Escalate trends and implement corrective action as needed.

 

Monitor departmental service levels, implementation timelines, annual review completion rates, service requests, operational backlogs, and support queues to ensure adherence to established service standards and business objectives.

 

Oversee annual Treasury Management reviews, periodic service reviews, user entitlement reviews, and operational audits to ensure compliance with internal policy, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.

 

Partner with Compliance, Risk Management, Fraud Prevention, Information Technology, Business Services, Commercial Lending, and Operations leadership to identify emerging risks, implement controls, and support strategic Treasury Management initiatives.

 

Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Treasury Management procedures, job aids, training materials, and departmental controls to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance.

 

Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, workflow optimization, and service enhancements that improve the member experience while reducing operational risk.

 

Support user acceptance testing, system upgrades, product implementations, vendor conversions, and disaster recovery activities affecting Treasury Management platforms and services.

 

Prepare and present management reporting related to department performance, service delivery, onboarding metrics, operational losses, audit findings, risk indicators, capacity planning, and strategic initiatives.

 

Foster a culture of risk awareness, compliance, accountability, collaboration, and member-focused service while promoting employee engagement, professional development, and team effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS


 


EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, Treasury Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. required


EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of treasury management, banking operations, payment operations, or commercial banking experience. required and

3+ years leadership, supervisory, lead, or management experience required and

Experience supporting commercial treasury products including ACH, wire transfers, positive pay, remote deposit capture, and business online banking. required and

Experience with treasury implementation, onboarding, and operational support. required and

Experience with system administration, configuration, testing, and vendor implementations. preferred and

Experience with Fiserv DNA, Q2, Ensenta, iPay, or similar banking platforms. preferred


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Strong leadership and employee coaching skills.

Extensive knowledge of treasury management operations and payment processing.

Understanding of NACHA operating rules and electronic payment regulations.

Knowledge of fraud prevention and operational risk management practices.

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS


 

Work time includes weekend and after-hours time, based on organizational needs. This position works in-office where working conditions, lighting, temperature, audio, and workspace are all sufficient.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


 

Work requires the ability to constantly operate a computer and the ability to read, type, and communicate. Work may require the ability to move work-related supplies weighing up to 10-15 pounds.
