POSITION AND PURPOSE


 

The Senior Product Manager -Deposit and Payment leads the strategy, development, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of Golden 1 Credit Union's deposit products. This role is responsible for delivering competitive, member-focused solutions that drive deposit growth, strengthen member relationships, enhance the member experience, and support the credit union's financial, operational, and risk objectives. The position oversees product performance through effective pricing, program design, process improvement, channel integration, and the development and execution of product promotions and campaigns. 

 

The Senior Product Manager – Deposit and Payment  leads cross-functional product and project initiatives, including market and competitive analysis, business case development, requirements gathering, risk assessment, implementation support, and campaign coordination. Working closely with operations, technology, finance, marketing, compliance, legal, and risk teams, this role delivers compliant, scalable lending solutions that increase product value, strengthen Golden 1's competitive position, and align with organizational strategy and member needs.

You bring deep financial services experience, sound regulatory judgment, and the ability to manage complex initiatives across systems, vendors, and cross-functional teams.


THE WORK


 

Product Strategy and Roadmap: Support the development and refinement of product strategies and roadmaps that meet member needs and the Credit Union’s financial objectives. Incorporate market research, member/consumer insights and industry trends into to identify new opportunities for growth and differentiation

 

Product Development and Management: Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle for key deposit products, from concept ideation through launch and post-launch optimization. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, risk management, marketing, and operations, to ensure successful product delivery and ongoing feature/functionality enhancements.

 

Customer Insights and Market Analysis: Incorporate market research, member and consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and industry trends to identify growth, differentiation, new product and enhancement opportunities. Translate these insights into actionable product requirements, feature/functionality enhancements, pricing changes or decisioning strategy optimization.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: collaborate with IT, finance, risk management, marketing, operations, vendors, and other stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize enhancements, and deliver successful product initiatives.

 

Product Performance Monitoring: Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators, product performance, customer feedback, and market trends to identify improvement opportunities and drive product enhancements.

 

Regulatory Compliance: Stay current on applicable financial services regulations and ensure products are designed, developed, and managed in accordance with regulatory requirements. Support pricing, disclosure management, requirements documentation, risk assessments, software integrations, and implementations related to deposit products.

 

Develop and maintain an understanding of the pertinent regulatory requirements and risks inherent to job responsibilities, establish, and maintain control activities that mitigate those risks consistent with the Credit Union’s risk appetite, and ensure operational integrity and compliance with applicable regulations.


QUALIFICATIONS


 


EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required

Advanced degree preferred


EXPERIENCE:

8+ years of product management experience required

3+ years in a senior or lead role, focused on deposit and payment product and systems management within financial services organizations required


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Comprehensive knowledge of deposit, and payment product principles, including regulations and industry best practices.

Proven product management experience, preferably in the financial services industry.

Pricing and product profitability models

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional leaders, internal teams, and vendors.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, Agile methodologies, product development frameworks, and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Nitro Pro.

Strong understanding of the financial services market, digital transformation, analytics, cross-functional execution, and regulatory requirements.

Robust analytical, strategic, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing demands and engage multiple initiatives simultaneously

WORKING CONDITIONS


 

Work time includes weekend and after-hours time, based on organizational needs. This position works in-office where working conditions, lighting, temperature, audio, and workspace are all sufficient.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


 

Work requires the ability to constantly operate a computer and the ability to read, type, and communicate. Work may require the ability to move work-related supplies weighing up to 10-15 pounds.
