POSITION AND PURPOSE
| The Business Development Financial Advisor is a separate and distinct enterprise-focused advisory and business-development role designed to provide dedicated enterprise advisory capacity while combining advisory service delivery, business development, and market expansion responsibilities. This position is differentiated from the Centralized Financial Advisor role by its dual responsibility to increase statewide member access to investment services through enterprise-generated demand while establishing and growing Golden 1's investment-services presence in the assigned branch and broader Southern California market. This role is expected to build a sustainable production base and book of business from inception without an inherited book of business, established client relationships, mature investment referral ecosystem, or existing Golden 1 investment-services footprint in the market, while serving as dedicated advisory capacity for members across California through enterprise-generated advisory opportunities and statewide member demand. Location: Assigned Branch Primary Service Model: Centralized Phone, Zoom, Approved Virtual Channels, and Enterprise Advisory Opportunities The advisor will receive and develop member opportunities from the Member Service Contact Center (MSCC), the dedicated Investment Service Line, Golden 1 appointment channels, digital appointment requests, outbound prospecting opportunities, employee referrals, statewide member demand, and other enterprise referral sources, along with walk-in traffic. Unlike a traditional branch-based advisor supported by an established branch book or mature referral network, and unlike a centralized advisor focused primarily on routed service activity, this position must create, cultivate, and convert new relationships through enterprise channels, proactive prospecting, market-development activities, community engagement, and local business-development efforts while building production capacity in a new market. In this role, the advisor identifies financial needs, conducts planning conversations, provides investment guidance, supports relationship development, and delivers ongoing service through a centralized virtual model. When a member requests an in-person consultation outside the Los Angeles market, the advisor coordinates a warm handoff and appointment with the Golden 1 advisor best positioned geographically to serve the member. Branch-generated opportunities from the assigned branch may also be supported, including walk-in consultations, employee referrals, locally generated advisor appointments, and other branch-originated opportunities. These activities are secondary to the centralized enterprise service model and are intended to complement, not define, the role. The primary purpose of the position is to increase statewide member access to investment services by expanding enterprise-wide advisory capacity, improving advisory access for members throughout California, supporting consistent member engagement across Golden 1 service channels, and building Golden 1's advisory presence in the Los Angeles and Southern California market. The role remains distinct from both a traditional branch-based financial advisor position and the Centralized Financial Advisor role through its responsibility for new market development, book-building from inception, localized business-development execution, prospecting, relationship building, and community engagement. These responsibilities require the advisor to combine enterprise advisory service delivery, new market development, prospecting, relationship building, community engagement, and business-development activities to establish and grow Golden 1's investment-services presence throughout Southern California. |
